Malefane Bosanku Msimanga, provincial secretary of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), and Edgar Legoale, regional head of the African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL), both criticised the naked images on Wednesday. The "insensitive" distribution of the nude photos looked to be images of the Liberal State's Legislative Branch spokesperson.
Her picture was apparently published on social media. "Whoever is the victim of this terrible, savage, and horrible crime, we condemn it."
"What we are witnessing is the victim's systematic extortion and silence, as well as the arming of her body through the circulation of uninvited and compromising photos," Msimanga added. The EFF in the province believes the occurrence to be a criminal crime against human rights breaches.
According to the party, individuals responsible for disseminating the photographs should be arrested and prosecuted.
Msimanga reminded out that this happens to women and girls all across the world, not only famous ladies. Such behaviour, he says, hampers efforts and fights against gender-based violence, sexism, and femicide. "This occurs with schoolgirls and ladies, and nude images are mercilessly distributed in online as vengeance or extortion against older women," Msimanga explained.
The EFF warns victims to never succumb to the events and acts of barbaric "beast humans."
"We are completely behind her and can promise her of our moral support." She is not alone; we are here for her."
Msimanga urges anybody with knowledge on the individual responsible for the distribution of these pictures to contact the proper law enforcement agency.
"He's either"
“Women are being killed and harassed every day and we’re pretty sure that the sheer volume of images and videos today is entrusting to the Free State Legislature Speaker Cde Zanele to keep their secret lives a secret and he decided to walk around and share it, comrades Make fun of it! Comrades, this is wrong and must be condemned,” Legoale said.
